General development test is considered equivalent to high school diploma.  The GED test is organized and created by the GEDTS (GED Testing Service) in collaboration with Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education Office of Adult Literacy. A person who has not received his/her high school diploma is eligible to take the GED test.
