ACT Testing

The ACT is a standardized test for college admissions in the United States. The test is designed to determine the student’s suitability to enter college. Most of the colleges in the U.S use the ACT score as part of their admission process.  The ACT test was originally divided into four sections: Math, English, Reading, and Science reasoning. Optional writing test was added in February 2005. The test is offered several times a year and students can choose the month they are most comfortable with.

If you are planning to take the ACT, you need to prepare well in advance. Since the test is designed to determine your general educational development, as well as your ability to be successful in college courses it is advisable that you don’t take the test lightly. A lot of students have failed to score good marks in the past due to lack of preparation. You can also go in for practice ACT testing to find out where you stand without preparation.  It is also very important that you focus on the three main areas which are very important – time management, being mentally relaxed and subject knowledge.
